Relevant Research

Master’s thesis conducted on the evaluation of an innovative composite shallow floor framing system through experimental testing and analytical investigation.  Results from a layered sectional analysis of the composite section were used to evaluate the effectiveness of traditional composite design methods in predicting the behavior of full scale composite T-beams tested in a structural laboratory setting.  Conclusions drawn included suggested improvements to the existing design procedures culminating in a comprehensive design methodology for the innovative system.
